Meritt Dahlgren and Marci Jacobs of Alexander Valley Cellars, family-owned wine warehousing and logistics company in Sonoma County.

Who we are

Alexander Valley Cellars is a family-owned business deeply rooted in the rich agricultural history of Sonoma County. For over 30 years, the Dahlgren family has been dedicated to providing exceptional wine storage, fulfillment, and transportation services. As a leading Third-Party Logistics provider in Sonoma County, the company operates multiple locations along the 101 corridor.

The business thrives on the principle that strong customer relationships are key to success. Living among their winery customers, Marc Dahlgren emphasized the importance of reliable service and a committed team. This ethos continues with his children, Meritt Dahlgren and Marci Jacobs, who uphold the family values of hard work, innovation, and community service.

Alexander Valley Cellars has grown over the years through long-term relationships with customers who rely on them for reliable service throughout every phase of the supply chain. Many customers have been with the company for over a decade, with some relationships spanning two generations.

In response to evolving customer needs, the company has broadened its services to include direct-to-consumer shipping, online inventory access, and specialized projects for their customers. They also cater to a diverse range of beverages, including non-alcoholic drinks and spirits.

David Ramirez, Warehouse Manager | An AVC Team member since 1995

His leadership ensures wine warehouse operations and order fulfillment run efficiently, helping customers move case goods on time and with accuracy. Inspired by the positive work environment established by the founders, David continues to uphold those values. Outside of work, he enjoys cooking Italian cuisine, spending time with his mother, and painting abstract art.

She also oversees billing, accounts receivable, and customer onboarding—ensuring procedures are transparent and understandable for both customers and coworkers. Lisa’s consistency and accuracy are invaluable in keeping AVC running smoothly and in full compliance, while enhancing the overall client experience.

Michael Mendoza, Customer Service Manager | An AVC Team member since 2018

Michael grew up in the wine industry and brought that knowledge to AVC. He quickly built a reputation for VIP-level customer service for winery clients, ensuring that logistics details, case pack specs, compliance documents, and carrier preferences are handled seamlessly. He’s known for clear communication, fast problem-solving, and closing the loop with no loose ends. Internally, he manages requests end-to-end, escalating early to prevent surprises. Off the clock, Michael applies his same attention to detail to sketching and painting. His standard is simple: make clients feel like the top priority and deliver results—consistently.
