About Alexander Valley Cellars
A Family Firm Since 1985
Alexander Valley Cellars opened its first warehouse in 1985. The founders wanted to offer reliable and dependable wine storage and transportation to the growing wine industry, and leased space in an old prune-packing plant. When Marc Dahlgren purchased the business, he established a pattern of growth and service that continues to this day. His family grew in the wine industry, and his son and daughter, Meritt Dahlgren and Marci Jacobs, are partners in the company today. From that first 20,000 square feet, the company has grown to more than six acres of storage, with new services added as the industry grows and changes.
Growing With The Industry
Partners Meritt Dahlgren and Marci Jacobs continue a family tradition of hard work, innovation, integrity, and community service. Alexander Valley Cellars principals volunteer in community organizations, and value family roots and connections. Many of their employees have been with the firm for decades.
Marci and Meritt understand that their reputation is their biggest asset, and they work hard to maintain excellent relationships with their customers. More than half their customers have been with Alexander Valley Cellars for 10 years or more. Some customers are second generation – their parents did business with Alexander Valley Cellars and they do as well.
The company also keeps ahead of wine industry trends, offering new services such as consumer-direct shipping and online inventory access. From private collectors to half-million case wineries, Alexander Valley Cellars can provide reliable, convenient and competitive service.
